Randwick House

About This Project

This makeover project was focused on aesthetic improvements to the street frontage. The original treatment was standard 1970’s “abba”, that is, ‘all bloody balustrades and arches’. The house certainly needed significant ‘de-balustrading’. Simple bays of masonry were adopted with canted reveals and timber ceiling lining. This approach  gives the street presentation  a more moderate scale, some physical depth and layering of built form.
